  • Five individuals in grey coveralls and green rubber boots stand together in a field. They are smiling and have a backdrop of tents or shelters in the distance under a clear blue sky.
  • Three smiling healthcare professionals in blue scrubs sit together on a wooden bench outdoors. They are surrounded by greenery and fallen leaves, with a stone wall and steps visible in the background.

We are proudly independent, with a rich heritage rooted in our North Yorkshire community since 1943. What began as a single-vet farm practice in Ripon has grown into a thriving, multi-disciplinary practice delivering high-quality, practical and compassionate care across a wide range of species. Everything we do is guided by our CARES vision: clinical excellence, adaptability, respect, education and sustainability.

Our main site in Ripon is an RCVS accredited Small Animal Hospital, providing 24/7 emergency care alongside routine veterinary work and multi-disciplinary referrals. We are further supported by four additional small animal branches in Thirsk, Northallerton, Easingwold and Pateley Bridge.

Many of our vets hold further qualifications, allowing us to offer advanced services in surgery, medicine, CT, cardiology, ultrasonography, laparoscopy, endoscopy, acupuncture and chronic pain management.

Our farm practice is based at our main Ripon site, with additional branches in York and Northallerton, enabling delivery of routine herd health and ambulatory work to cattle, sheep and goats across a large area of Yorkshire, Humber and North East England, with a focus on preventive healthcare and helping our clients achieve their sustainable production goals.

Our dedicated pig team offer herd health consultancy and training to commercial pig farms across the UK.
