The Role

Pennard Vets is looking for a qualified Hydrotherapist to join its rehabilitation team based at the Sevenoaks practice. Working within a modern veterinary environment alongside experienced clinicians, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting patient recovery following surgery, injury and age-related mobility challenges.

Flexible working hours are available, with optional Saturday sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver hydrotherapy sessions for small animal patients.

  • Provide physiotherapy treatment where qualified.

  • Develop and review treatment plans in collaboration with the veterinary team.

  • Monitor patient progress and adapt rehabilitation programmes as required.

  • Maintain accurate clinical records.

  • Manage appointment scheduling and client communication.

  • Advise owners on ongoing care and rehabilitation at home.

  • Ensure hydrotherapy equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard.

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants should have:

  • A recognised Hydrotherapy qualification (essential).

  • A physiotherapy qualification, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Small Animal Physiotherapy or ACPAT registration (desirable).

  • A good understanding of animal anatomy and physiology.

  • Excellent communication and client care skills.

  • A compassionate and patient approach.

  • The ability to meet the physical demands of the role.

Benefits

  • Flexible part-time hours (16-32 hours per week).

  • Opportunity to work within an established employee-owned practice.

  • Support to develop and expand rehabilitation services.

  • Opportunity to work alongside a skilled veterinary team.

  • Scope to shape the role and introduce new services.
