Our reception and administration team facilitates the smooth functioning of day-to-day office and reception operations; responding to client enquiries, booking appointments, updating accounts, ordering and dispensing animal drugs and accurate completion of administration work. All while keeping the practice environment clean and tidy.
A Veterinary Receptionist is a profession in it’s own right. Without them a practice cannot function!
We are looking for an additional team member to work with our small animal receptionists at Whitestone Veterinary Clinic. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure and possess excellent communication and people skills- both via telephone and in person. Good IT skills essential.
Previous Veterinary Reception experience desirable, previous customer care experience essential (ideally from a veterinary, healthcare, retail, or hospitality setting)
This job is more than just a love of animals. You’ll be the first point of call for our clients. Whether it’s a worried owner that needs comforting in an emergency, or someone calling to book a routine check-up. That first impression is vital to our clients and no two days are the same! Staying ahead of the game, prioritising, communicating and supporting the vets and nurses is all in a days work.
The position is advertised as full time hours (but we are open to discussion for the right candidate) and requires flexibility to cover additional hours and holidays. No out of hours or weekend work required.
Salary starting at £12.71/hour (dependent on experience) plus overtime payments. Additional holiday for length of service, workplace pension, staff pet discount, employee assistance scheme, uniforms and free onsite parking.
Along with support from the management team, we also pay for professional memberships www.bvra.co.uk , ongoing training and CPD.
