At North West Equine Vets, we pride ourselves on offering exceptional, independent equine care and a wide range of services for our clients in Yorkshire, South Cumbria and Lancashire whilst maintaining the friendly atmosphere and high level of personal attention associated with a smaller practice.
Our main clinics are based at Rathmell in Yorkshire, Lupton in Cumbria and Great Harwood in Lancashire.
North West Equine vets is an independent veterinary practice established in 2015, when neighbouring equine practices Dalehead and Westmorland joined forces to offer a wider range of services. In 2018 we teamed up with Aldington Equine Vets to further increase the wealth of expertise and facilities offered to our clients.
North West Equine Vets is proud to be independently owned by our directors, Paul Smith, Catherine Speakman, and Richard Knight, all of whom are practising equine vets at NWEV. This means that the care and the welfare of your horse is our number one priority; we do not answer to anyone else. We value the freedom to make individual choices whilst benefiting from collaboration within a larger group of like-minded independent practices within the XL Vets group. We share ideas, experience and knowledge in order to achieve the highest standards of equine veterinary care and welfare. There is no financial or strategic incentive.
We can reassure you that despite many practices moving to the corporate market, we fully intend to remain an independently owned business. We have clinical freedom and report to only one boss, THE HORSE STOOD IN FRONT OF US.
