Broad Lane Vets first opened its doors in 1969 as a mixed practice, and over the years we’ve grown into a thriving, three-site small animal practice serving Coventry and the surrounding areas. Our current Directors and practice owners are Elly Pittaway, who’s been at the helm since 2008, and Aidín Walls and Ali White, who joined her as Co-Directors in 2021. Our Practice Manager Lisa Madden, who keeps things running smoothly, has been at the practice over 40 years. Having grown significantly, the management team is focused on continuing to support our team to facilitate the delivery of outstanding customer care to owners and veterinary care to their pets.
We’re proud to be an RCVS Accredited General Practice and an active VN Training Practice, offering a wealth of opportunities for vets and nurses, supported by our vetGDP Advisers and Clinical Coaches, and our experienced vet and nursing teams. The vet team encompasses a wide range of expertise, with interests and additional qualifications in Medicine, Feline Practice, Emergency and Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiology and Dentistry. We also offer Acupuncture appointments and Behaviour Visits, along with a variety of chargeable Nurse Clinics. We’ve supported Pet Blood Bank UK by hosting regular donation sessions, since the charity's inception.
Flexible working is something we adopted early, being recognised with the Timewise Most Flexible Small Business Award in 2015. This approach has been integral to the growth of the practice; we believe that by taking great care of our team, they are better able to care for the pets and clients they serve.
Community is at the heart of what we do. From sponsoring local park bins to giving school talks, going on the radio, and organising events, we love connecting with - and giving back to - our local area.
With the rising presence of corporate practices in our area, as elsewhere, we are keen to stay true to our values. That’s why we joined XLVets - an inspiring community of independent practices - which helps us to remain competitive, whilst staying proudly independent. Collaborating with, supporting and learning from like-minded practice owners, helps keep us all at the forefront of what is a rapidly-evolving profession.
