Experienced Small Animal Vet vacancy, 3 Bridges Vets, Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland

The role

We’re looking for an Experienced Small Animal Vet to join our independent practice in Dunfermline. Due to our ever expanding client base we are looking for a new member of the team. You’ll see a genuinely varied caseload, with time to work cases up properly. We’re well-equipped and purpose built 4 years ago:

  • Ultrasound

  • Digital X-ray

  • In-house lab

  • Endoscopy

And you’ll have:

  • Proper consult time – 20 minutes as standard

  • Dedicated surgery time – set op days

  • A strong, supportive nursing team

There is a contribution to OOH — but it’s structured, fair, and you get proper time off afterwards. Who you’ll be working with A team where:

  • No one pulls rank

  • Nurses, vets, and reception genuinely work together

  • People help each other without being asked

  • You can ask questions (or offer ideas) without hesitation

No egos. No politics. Just a good team. Who this would suit You might be:

  • A vet with a few years’ experience who wants to feel settled and supported

  • Someone who enjoys both medicine and surgery

  • A vet who wants to keep improving (we’ll support certificates)

This role isn’t suitable for new graduates — not because we don’t value them (we do), but because we want to make sure everyone gets the right level of support. What you’ll get (beyond the obvious) Yes, there’s:

  • £60,000+ salary (FTE)

  • CPD + certificate support

  • Paid RCVS & VDS

  • Private health insurance

  • Pension, holidays, all the usual

But more importantly:

  • You’ll be listened to

  • You’ll be supported

  • You’ll feel part of something

And that makes a bigger difference than most job specs admit. Why we’re different We’re independent — which means:

  • We can actually change things when they need changing

  • Your ideas don’t disappear into a system

  • People come before processes

You’re not just filling a gap on a rota here. If this sounds like your kind of place… Send your CV to:
hannah@3bridgesvets.co.uk Or just get in touch for a chat — no pressure, no formalities. One last thing Most practices will tell you they’re “supportive” and have a “great team.” We’d rather you come and see it for yourself.
