We have twelve vets in an established trio of Vet centres – Brampton, Haltwhistle and Longtown. We are a multi discipline practice catering for pets and farm animal species, and we are currently seeking a Small Animal Vet to join our team.
The practice is on the border of Scotland and England. Newcastle Airport is 50 minutes away, and it's a 30 minute journey to the beautiful Lake District National Park. We are also on Hadrians Wall, making it the perfect area for walking.
We work as a team at the practice and look at a high level of support and a good working atmosphere
- We are fully equipped including an inhouse lab, ultrasound and X-ray with regular visiting specialists including ultrasound scanner/MRI/CT scan and therapeutic laser/acupuncture
- Small animal consultations – 15 minutes
- We take pride in caring for our patients out of hours and work an equally shared 1:4 rota
- Nurses on call 24/7
- This is a full time permanent position with 4.5 day week
- 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays
- RCVS and VDS fees paid
- XLVet members – actively participate in CPD and events
- Support network and mentoring from directors
- RCVS accredited practice in Small Animal and Farm

- Mentoring from a practice director
- No sole charge and support always given
- Back up will be provided during OOH and you can contact a director by phone whenever you need support
- You will be enrolled on the XLVets Small Animal Graduate Programme
