Can you have it all?……

The answer is yes you can!

Join our esteemed Night Vet Team on a favourable 1-week on, 2-weeks off working pattern allowing for ample time to recharge and pursue your passions outside of work.

We pride ourselves on delivering consistently high-quality care to our patients around the clock and have invested in a dedicated team of night vets and nurses to provide this. As a well-established, independent practice deeply rooted in the local community, we are renowned for our warmth and exceptional care standards.

Our commitment to excellence means we often have a number of inpatients requiring 24hr care but to ensure manageable caseloads, this service is exclusively for our own clients.

You will be entrusted and given clinical freedom to manage a variety of cases, from inpatient care to unforeseen nighttime emergencies. Supported by our experienced Night Nurse Team, you'll ensure that our clinic is prepared for the day ahead, providing seamless continuity of care.

Our night provision starts with handover from 6pm. There will be some evening consults and ward rounds before settling into the regular night checks, monitoring and discharges. Morning rounds and handovers start early the next morning allowing the night team to finish at 8am secure in the knowledge the inpatients have plans in place for continual day care.

To be successful in this role, you will already possess a minimum of 3-4 years of UK experience in a Small Animal Vet role, hold a valid UK driving license with your own transport, and embody a collaborative spirit with a high level of clinical aspiration.

Continuous learning is paramount and you will have access to an extensive array of CPD resources. Our comprehensive well-being initiatives and competitive remuneration package further empower you to thrive in our first-opinion practice.

Our enticing terms and benefits include a 1-week on/2-weeks off rota, paid RCVS membership & VDS cover (for permanent contracts), competitive salary up to £65K per year, welcome bonus, enhanced holiday and wellbeing benefits, and much more.

This is a great opportunity for a good work/life balance, providing the time to join in with our vibrant local community & enjoy the fabulous Cotswolds. We have great local facilities, schools and lots of cosy pubs! Please submit your CV or email further questions to: tracie.dunn@hooknortonvets.co.uk
