This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our expanding independent practice in Melton Mowbray
Having outgrown our current premises in Melton Mowbray, we are moving to a brand-new veterinary hospital and are seeking an additional RVN to join the team. We welcome applications from candidates who are keen to be involved in all aspects of small animal veterinary nursing, bringing new ideas and motivation to the current close-knit team.
A number of our RVNs are certificate holders; we actively encourage and fund these. In addition to a generous personal CPD allowance, we hold regular in-house CPD days for the whole team to continually improve and advance our standards. The whole team has access to Vetstream.
Currently going through the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme to achieve hospital status, we pride ourselves on providing our own out-of-hours service to our clients. With dedicated night nurses, there are no weeknights on call in this role. However, participation in our 1:5 Saturday and Sunday day rota (though currently 1:7), along with an equal share of bank holidays is expected.
Our full-time nurses work 4 days a week on an 8:00pm – 6:00pm or 8:30am – 6:30pm shift pattern with paid lunch breaks. Rotating between inpatient, theatre and consulting roles throughout the week, nurses can get involved in a varied caseload of small animals.
