Exciting opportunity for a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse

We are an independent mixed practice in Rutland seeking an experienced RVN to work at our busy practice in Uppingham. This role will suit someone who is enthusiastic, forward-thinking and highly motivated. As a practice, we strive to combine the provision of exceptional, bespoke care with progressive current best practice in veterinary medicine.

Our clinical club meetings are a great way to discuss cases and exchange ideas, and we hold additional in-house CPD days for the whole team to continually improve and advance our standards.

Our teams are our most important asset; we provide strong mentorship and support so you get the most out of your role. We are a SVN training and VetGDP registered practice.

We are fortunate to have a team of experienced vets and RVN’s, along with dedicated support staff all of whom share our passion for providing high standards of veterinary care to our patients.

As you would expect, our practices are fully equipped with multi-parameter monitoring and an extensive range of diagnostic facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, biochemistry and haematology. The whole team has access to Vetstream.

A number of our RVNs are certificate holders – we actively encourage and fund these.

Our full-time nurses work 4 days a week on an 8am - 6pm or 8:30am - 6:30pm shift pattern with paid lunch breaks.

We are currently in the process of seeking hospital status through the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme, we pride ourselves on offering our very own out-of-hours service. Whilst there is no weekday on call, you would be expected to participate in our 1:5 alternate Saturday and Sunday weekend rota along with shared bank holidays.

If you would like to be part of a friendly team, work in an independent family-run mixed practice with people who understand the need of a work/life balance, we would really love to hear from you.

  • Competitive salary
  • Paid lunch breaks
  • 4 weeks holiday with additional bank holidays (pro rata)
  • Pension scheme
  • RVN fees paid
  • CPD and certificates funded and encouraged
  • Generous staff discount scheme for your pets
