Stanley House are looking for a full time qualified veterinary to work alongside our friendly, professional clinical team.
We are very proud to be an independent practice in the midst of this ever changing market.
Stanley House has 14 Small Animal Vets and operates over 3 sites. The main site being the well-established Colne site. We also have a mixed practice with 5 vets taking care of the local Farms and Horses.
Our nurses are all trained to a high standard and provide excellent patient care and support for the vets. We are a nurse training centre.
CPD is encouraged and the nurses are encourage to do nurse clinics and help in the development of a growing practice.

The medical and surgical suites have recently undergone extensive facilities.
The surgical suite consists of
- Two theatres
- Dental Suite
- Diagnostic suite (including digital radiography, scanners, ECG and endoscopes.)
- Prep area
The Medical suite
- Dog ward
- Cat ward
- Holding kennels
- Food prep area
We do provide our own on call service and nurses do have an on call rota currently work 1 in 10 weekends on call and 1 in 10 Saturday 8.30 – 4.30. Plus one night on call every other week. We do require nurses to be within a 30 minute drive or stay at the surgery where we do have facilities for on call staff.

If you are not from the area, Pendle is a lovely part of the country in the North West of England nestling between the Ribble Valley and the Pennine Way. The Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty, is on our door step and the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and Bronte Country are all within easy reach. We have two golf courses in Pendle and a sailing club on Burwains reservoir. The area is fantastic for cycling, walking and running.
The area now also boasts a premier league football team!
For people who enjoy the City life we are also in easy reach of the vibrant cities Manchester and Leeds which both offer excellent shopping and night life.
