We are currently recruiting an experienced, motivated Small Animal Vet to work under sole charge in one of our local Branches.

  • Permanent role
  • Full Time at Charlbury or Deddington
  • Part-Time at Charlbury, Deddington or Moreton in Marsh
  • Weekend days at our main hospital are negotiable
  • NO nights OOH
  • Supported by Branch Nursing and Reception Team

We understand how important a good work/life balance is and are happy to consider applications for flexible working patterns.

The role is predominantly based at one of our Small Animal Branches, where you will have sole charge with a mix of consultations and ops, which can be a mix of routine neutering, dental work, mass removals, stitch-ups and other small non-routine procedures that would not necessitate an animal being hospitalised.

With realistic 15-minute consults (more if the case is more complex) and regular administrative breaks, our rotas are designed to be realistic to meet the client’s needs. Client care is paramount to us, which is why we have a dedicated hospital to care for our inpatients during the day and at night with our in-house Night Vet and Nursing Team should any of our patients need to be hospitalised. Animals that need urgent care or further investigations can be sent to the hospital from the branch surgery.

Your experience will enable you to formulate and carry out a clinical plan with a progressive team open to new ideas. We take pride in offering a high standard of care to clients and patients, and we enable and empower our Vets to be able to do that too.

We have a large and loyal client base, providing a full and varied caseload. In addition, we will help you develop your veterinary skills in any field of interest in a very supportive environment. Mentoring is offered via designated internal staff and complemented with a career pathway designed to support your long-term aspirations.

The Small Animal Team, including the Vets, Nurses, and Receptionists, is fully committed to providing the best care. Our ethos is to support each other fully until each case is complete, whether at a branch or in the hospital. Our Branch teams are integral to our business and are regularly involved in case discussions at our clinical meetings to continue learning and improving our standard of care.
