Hook Norton Veterinary Group is an independent practice which offers dedicated equine, farm and small animal care across North Oxfordshire and the surrounding 4 counties (Warwickshire, Cotswolds, Northants, Buckinghamshire). Our equine clinic is based on the outskirts of Hook Norton; it is also the base of our small animal hospital and farm department. Job Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Equine Veterinary Surgeon with a good level of Stud experience to join our equine team on an initial fixed-term basis of 6-12 months with the potential of a future permanent contract. We are flexible regarding start dates and can accommodate school holidays if required.

We have a full clinic, surgical facilities, and all the usual toys (DR, gastroscope, ultrasound, video endoscope, surgical laser). We have a good sports horse base, racing yards, studs and pleasure horses.

You will be given clinical freedom to manage and work up cases individually with support from experienced colleagues. We actively encourage clinical and professional development for all stages of your career. CPD is funded and flexible allowing the successful applicant to tailor it towards their development goal. We are looking for someone with passion and enthusiasm to join our happy, friendly team, with a work-hard, play-hard ethos!

This role will require working from our Hook Norton Surgery and travelling within our client base area. On-call is shared equally amongst the team and is currently around 1:7. The ideal candidate must have a clean driving license and have a minimum of 2 years experience, including Stud work.
