Doh! There's no page at this address. Us geeks call this a 404 error, because this is the actual HTTP status code returned by the server. Look up RFC 2616 if you don't believe me.

How could this happen?

  1. We may have deleted the page that you are looking for.
Why would we do that? Well, sometimes pages misbehave, and they have to learn that every action has a consequence. Or maybe we were just making an example to keep all the other pages in line.
  2. The content may have been moved somewhere else.
We're always moving files around, just trying out new and better organisation schemes. If you're able to log in, you may want to try site search to see if the content you're looking for is still alive on a different page.
  3. Maybe you typed the address wrong?
We're not judging. Sometimes when one is just typing away a finger hits two keys at the same time, and blammo – 404! It could happen to anybody. We do it sometimes, too… It's no big deal.
  4. The site has been taken over by aliens.
Admittedly, this is not the most likely explanation.
  5. You clicked on a broken link within the site.
Are we supposed to be responsible for every single link on this site? Um… yes. If this is indeed the reason, We are to blame. We regularly scan the site looking for just this kind of problem, but one must have slipped through the cracks. Mea culpa. It's our fault. We're sorry.
  6. You clicked on a broken link on someone else's site.
Oh, ho, ho, ho! Someone else led you astray. That's… that's… actually that's pretty awesome that they thought enough of this site to send you here. Too bad the logistics didn't work out exactly right, tho'. But we're glad you're here. May we direct you to the front page for a cordial introduction to the site instead?
